Arctic 025ZA/B-R32 Heat Pump – Heat & Chill Your Hot Tub, Spa, or Pool
The Arctic Heat Pump provides both heating and cooling for hot tubs, spas, swim spas, and smaller pools. Select the desired operating mode from the controller to heat or chill the water as needed.
Its reversible design makes it suitable for conventional pool and spa heating as well as cold-plunge and water-cooling applications.

How It Works
The Arctic Heat Pump transfers energy from the surrounding air into the water circuit. Energy collected by the evaporator is transferred to the refrigerant, compressed to increase temperature, and then transferred through the titanium heat exchanger to the pool or spa water.
In cooling mode, the refrigeration cycle reverses to remove heat from the water. The source states that the unit consumes approximately 1/3 to 1/5 of the electricity of its heating capacity and can provide up to 80% savings compared with traditional electric or gas heating. Built-in hot-gas defrost and freeze protection support cold-weather operation.
