Rusco 1-1/2" L-Style Sediment Trapper Filter
The Rusco 1-1/2" L-Style Sediment Trapper combines reusable sediment filtration with Rusco's specialized L-Style body configuration for jet pump applications.
Unlike the straight-through T-Style configuration, the L-Style body has the inlet on the side and the outlet on the top. This configuration is designed to accommodate plumbing arrangements commonly used with jet pump systems.
The Sediment Trapper element is designed to capture sand, sediment, scale, rust, and other suspended debris while providing additional sediment-holding capacity. Collected sediment can be flushed through the bottom valve for routine maintenance, and the reusable filter element can be cleaned and returned to service.
The 1-1/2" L-Style Sediment Trapper uses 1-1/2" slip connections and measures approximately 14-7/8" L × 4-1/2" W. Rusco lists flow ranges of 5–20 GPM for low-pressure (LP) applications and 15–40 GPM for high-pressure (HP) applications.
Standard L-Style Sediment Trapper models are available with polyester mesh or stainless steel mesh. Rusco also lists separate Chemical-Resistant stainless steel L-Style models.

Very nice expansion tank. Mine is a 16 gallon. Has feet so it will sit on the floor next to your boiler and doesn’t have to be mounted on the wall.
It’s sturdy enough to support your Air Separator, Pressure Regulator and Backflow Preventer.
I recently installed my new 29kw BTH Ultra boiler and so far I am really impressed.
We live in an old 2 story brick farmhouse built in 1814! This unit replaced an Outdoor Wood Boiler with a 750 gallon tank. It was about 30 years old and last winter the tank rusted thru and busted.
We have 11 cast iron “American Radiators” and they heat the house well.
The BTH will heat all the water to 150 degrees in about an hour and we don’t have to build a fire and wait hours.
The most impressive part is the Outdoor Temperature sensor. When it’s not that cold outside, the unit doesn’t turn on all the elements at once and slowly heats the water which saves a lot of electricity in the warmer months!
I’m looking forward to see how well it does when the temperature drops between 0-30 and it snows and I don’t have to go outside several times a day and load wood. I’m confident the Ghost Rider will perform!
