The Stiebel Eltron SHC family consists of compact electric mini-tank water heaters designed to deliver hot water close to the point of use. Available in 2.65-, 4-, and 6-gallon capacities, SHC models can serve as a standalone hot-water source for sinks, supplement a remotely located central water heater, or be incorporated into a compatible recirculation-loop installation.
Each unit has a flat-back cabinet and includes a wall-mounting bracket for installation beneath or near a sink. After the tank is filled, the supplied 43-inch power cord plugs into a standard grounded 120V receptacle. All three models use a 1,300-watt heating element and draw 11.3 amps.
Shared construction features include a glass-lined steel tank, sacrificial anode rod, brass ½-inch NPT water connections, stainless-steel dip tube, adjustable thermostat and an included temperature-and-pressure relief valve. Compact tank sizing and insulation help reduce piping delays, water waste and standby heat loss.
SHC mini-tanks are suitable for residential, commercial and light-industrial point-of-use applications. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable plumbing and electrical codes.

⭐Installation is quick
With its flat back and included bracket an SHC easily mounts right under or near the sink. Once filled with water it simply plugs into a 120 V outlet. With only an 11 amp current draw, no special wiring is required. Lightweight and compact, the SHC saves space, quickly provides hot water right where it is needed.
