Factory assembled and hydraulically tested, the Cascade 2 HWS combines premium SunEarth components into one professionally engineered package, dramatically reducing installation time while improving long-term system performance.
The Cascade 2 system utilizes a gravity drainback design that automatically drains the collector loop whenever the circulator pump stops operating. This passive freeze protection eliminates standing water in the collectors and exposed piping, allowing reliable operation in climates experiencing temperatures as low as -50°F without depending solely on glycol for freeze protection.
The system includes an 80/120-gallon insulated solar storage tank, integrated drainback reservoir, stainless steel circulator pump, differential temperature controller, copper heat exchanger, thermostatic mixing valve, expansion tank, and factory-installed service valves.
